What is inclusive leadership? When we speak of inclusion, we are referring to: “A sense of belonging: feeling respected, valued for who you are; feeling a level of supportive energy and commitment from others so that you can do your best.” Miller and Katz (2002) How that feeling is primed, maintained and embedded into the culture of an orgainsation is the function of leadership. In our inclusion lexicon, leadership is the enabling art of being able to influence others by unleashing their power to impact the greater good, achieving results that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.
Leadership is not something you do to people. It is something you do with people. ~ Ken Blanchard
