1. Tell us a bit a bit you – your values, what you’re passionate about?

I am passionate about making the very most that life has to offer. There is no doubting that we all face many challenges, yet I sincerely believe that advocating a growth mindset, having a positive approach to life, will allow us all to fulfil our potential. Finding balance is the key for me. To support my approach to work, I am an active cyclist, finding time away on endurance challenges the perfect support to a hectic work schedule. If I can find this balance, then I can be at my best for my Wife Catherine and my wider family and friends, by far the most important aspect of my life.

  1. What has been your biggest achievement so far?

Professionally leading the Oxford Summer School as Chairman was a particular highlight, although personally running the London Marathon in 2011 was also a great achievement.

  1. What attracted you to join TCfIL?

The alignment with my values, finding a role and business that really allows me the autonomy and the support to be my best self and do my best work. To be me. I am encouraged to stretch and learn which I love. I work with a brilliant team who are dedicated to elevating the human experience in the workplace. I have always been obsessed with developing human potential throughout my career, so the synergy with this role, as a workplace inclusion practitioner, is fantastic.

  1. What has been the best lesson you have learned in your career?

Collaboration is the key to success. I have had the privilege to work with some great teams and leaders, but collaborating with others and creating teamship has always been particularly important. Seeking out people that do not think like us is integral to our future, it’s at the heart of finding solutions to many of the problems we face at a societal and organisational level.

  1. What do you hope to achieve with TCfIL?

Well our vision is to end workplace inequality. There are some personal milestones and achievements that I have in my sights, but collectively our ambition is the most important challenge I will be part of. Over time, with a tenacious drive for change, the right provocation and of course, brilliant collaborations,  I wholeheartedly believe that we can make this a reality.
